Edythe Mae Stockstill, age 88, of Grants Pass, died Monday, August 30, 2010 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.
No services are planned. Private interment will be at Grants Pass Masonic Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Edythe was born August 9, 1922 in Akron, Ohio. For 19 years she worked as secretary to the director of business services for the Downey School District. In 1973 she married Frank Stockstill and moved to San Bernardino, California. There she worked for American Linen Supply. While on vacation, she and her husband visited a cousin living in Williams, Oregon and decided this was the place to be. In 1982 they moved to Williams and proceeded to build the house Edythe had always wanted. It was a five year process, during which Frank and Edythe met many of the friends that made their life so happy here. They made other friends through Frank’s activities in the Shriners and Elks.
Survivors include a daughter, Lauretta Minch of Studio City, California; a son, Robert Minch and his wife Mary Borthwick of Juneau, Alaska; a stepson, Stephen Stockstill of Albany, Oregon; three granddaughters, Sandy Adama and her spouse Jody, Vicky Stockstill and Laura Stockstill all of Albany, Oregon; and a dear friend, Josephine Harrison of Williams.
Edythe was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Stockstill in 1998 and two brothers, Tom Pegg and Rex Pegg.
