Edward Charles Mazza, age 73, of Rogue River, died Monday, April 18, 2011 at VA Portland Medical Center.
A celebration of life will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Hull & Hull Chapel. Interment with military honors will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Ed was born March 2, 1938 in San Luis Obispo, California to Charles Mazza & Melva Williams Mazza. On October 7, 1972 in Galveston, Texas he married Deborah Klinebough. He served in the United States Navy. He moved from Texas to the Rogue Valley 26 years ago and for the past 18 years he lived in Rogue River. He worked for VA SORC until he retired in 2005. Since his retirement he worked with children and adults in volunteer services and was a DAV Representative.
His memberships included Disabled American Veterans where he was a past state commander; Veterans of Foreign Wars; and American Legion.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and watching football and horse racing.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Mazza of Rogue River, Oregon; a daughter, Debra Mazza of Fresno, California; three sons, Ricky H. Mazza of Grants Pass, Oregon, Robert G. Mazza of Beloit, Wisconsin, and Timothy P. Mazza of San Bernardino, California; a sister, Judy Antunez of Marshall, Illinois; a brother, Fred J. Mazza of Salem, Oregon; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Edward C. Mazza Jr and a sister, Nancy.
