Duane “Moose” Masters, age 72, of Glendale, died Sunday, November 18, 2007 at his home.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2007 at Hull & Hull Chapel with Fr. Bill Ryan, O.S.A. officiating. Private interment will be at Big Meadows Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
He was born June 7, 1935 in Wilderville, Oregon to Paul Edward Masters and Ivy Alpine (Billings) Masters. He was raised in Glendale and had lived there most of his life. He and his brother owned “Master’s Logging.” He worked doing all kings of jobs in logging including choker setter.
He enjoyed gold mining, hunting, fishing, and also enjoyed going to Seven Feathers especially to play the penny machines.
Survivors include his wife, Cozetta Masters of Glendale; two sons, Doug Masters of Anchorage, Alaska; and George Ray of Glendale; three daughters, Debra D. Paris-Arend of Wasilla, Alaska; Donna Ray of Glendale; and Anna Ray of Grants Pass; a brother, Arley Masters of Cave Junction; 35 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
