Duane Howard

Duane Howard, age 64, of Grants Pass, died July 4, 2020 at a Medford care facility.

Duane was born December 6, 1955 in Los Angeles, California to Duane & Julia Howard. Duane grew up in Simi Valley, California and moved to Grants Pass in 1981. He was a self-employed mechanic and loved working on cars.

Duane was a role model for his siblings – someone they could all look up to. He enjoyed waterskiing, rafting the Rogue River, camping, NASCAR, and Harley Davidson motorcycles. As his boys said he was someone that “won’t back down.” He was also known as a skilled Barbequer, especially his ribs!

Survivors include two sons, Brandon Howard and Chad Howard; father Duane Howard Sr; two brothers Dennis (Alisia) Howard and Damon Howard; three sisters Melinda Hankins, Sharon Roberts, and Karen Ainsworth; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Julia Howard on July 15, 2019.

A family celebration of life was held.
