Dorothy Pomeroy Conover

Dorothy Pomeroy Conover, age 99, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at her home.

At her request, no services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy was born January 17, 1912 in Denver, Colorado to Edward & Vie Smith. She spent her life as a rancher, teacher and all around enthusiast of life and its offerings. Whether it was ranching in Kemmerer, Wyoming; teaching in Whittier, California; or retirement in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dorothy enjoyed wolves, rock art, Indian lore, and any card game you wished to play. Her friends and family were her joy. She was just shy of her 100th birthday.

Hold this vibrant woman in your heart.

She is survived by two sons, Ron Pomeroy of Rogue River, Oregon and Stan Pomeroy of Aurora, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Kerry Pomeroy of Brea, California; her first husband, Kenneth Pomeroy and her second husband, Paul Conover.
