Dorothy Margaret Dymock Broer, age 83, of Grants Pass, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass after a short illness.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Hull & Hull Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

She was born March 23, 1925 in Phoenix, Arizona to Alfred W. Dymock & Augustine Deubler Dymock. She moved with her family to Oregon in 1937. She attended Jerome Prairie School and graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1943. She later graduated from Biola University and Seattle Pacific University. Dorothy was employed for 30 years by Grants Pass School District #7 as an elementary/junior high teacher and later as a Curriculum Director at the District Office.
In December 1969 she married Albert (Bert) Copley Broer who preceded her in death in 1990.
Dorothy was an active member of the Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma (a women's educational honor society) and of PEO Sisterhood Chapter CD. She was a member of River Valley Community Church.
She enjoyed reading, visiting with friends and family, and assisting with her charities. She was an avid scholar with a variety of interests and especially enjoyed attending Shakespeare plays in Ashland.
She is survived by three brothers, Alfred W. Dymock, Jr. of Rapid City, South Dakota; Lawrence (Bugs) Dymock of Grants Pass, Oregon; and Fred C. Dymock of Vida, Oregon; a step-son Richard C. Broer of Collierville, Tennessee; and four grandchildren, Copley, Katherine, Peyton, and Julia Broer and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a step-son Randall B. Broer and a grandson, John Broer.
