Dorothy M. Brotemarkle

Former Grants Pass resident, Dorothy M. Brotemarkle, of Vancouver, WA, passed away August 14, 2010 at the age of 91.

She was born January 14, 1919 in Los Angeles, California to Roy J. and Wilhelmina J. Lodjic.

Upon retiring after many years of working as a glass instrument inspector she enjoyed traveling, crafting, woodwork carving, tole painting and being with her family. Dorothy moved to Cave Junction in 1982 from Sonora Calif. and to Grants Pass, OR in 2005. Upon the death of her second husband in 2009, she moved to Vancouver, WA.

She is survived by her son Terry Van De Grift (Linda) of Vancouver, WA, daughter Brenda Gorski of Starkville, MS, and step-son, Robert A Brotemarkle (Marilyn) of Apple Valley California, seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death was her first husband, Earl Van De Grift and her second husband Robert A. Brotemarkle.
