Dorothy L. "Dottie" King

Dorothy L. “Dottie” King, age 88, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at a foster care home in Central Point.

Family services will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Dottie was born February 18, 1925 in New Philadelphia, Ohio to Charles & Madge (Burkhart) Heintzelman. After graduating from high school she attended nursing school. On December 28, 1944 in Oxford, Ohio she married Harold L. King, who preceded her in death in 1970. After moving to California she worked for Redlands Federal Saving and Loan in Fontana for over 25 years beginning as a teller and retired as an auditor in 1985. After her retirement she moved from California to Grants Pass.

Dottie was a member of River Valley Community Church.

Her hobbies included water color painting; ceramics; stained glass; cooking; sewing; and traveling; trips to the Oregon Coast; and loving her animals. She especially loved time spent with her family.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald King of Hollister, California and Chuck King of Grants Pass, Oregon; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
