Dorothy June Embrey

Dorothy June Embrey, age 76, of Rogue River, died May 22, 2018 at her home.

Dorothy was born March 6, 1942 in San Francisco, California to Carmen & Lodene Shamblin. In 1960 she graduated from high school in Merced, California. In 1972 she moved from Japan to Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas and then to Rogue River. For many years she worked as a waitress for local Rogue River restaurants.

Dorothy volunteered at the Veterans Administration Domiciliary in White City. She also was a team mom for little league baseball for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Embrey of Rogue River; two daughters, Carol Urey (Roger) of Pulaski, Pennsylvania and Rene Madison (Brian) of Louisville, Kentucky; a son, Buddy Embrey (Genevieve) of Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother, Earl Shamblin of Rogue River; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

No services will be held. Southern Oregon Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.
