Dorothy Jane Hewkin

Dorothy Jane Hewkin, age 85, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at her home.

No services will be held. Southern Oregon Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy was born July 10, 1922 in Tacoma, Washington to Henry & Catherine Kimball.
On December 31, 1945 in Tacoma, she married James A. Hewkin. She moved to John Day and later to St. Helens, Oregon where she lived for 26 years. In 2003 she moved from St. Helens to Grants Pass.

She especially enjoyed playing cards, going on car trips with her husband and loved to stop and walk on the beach.

Survivors include her husband, James Arthur Hewkin of Grants Pass; two sons, Thomas Hewkin of Grants Pass and Bruce Arthur Hewkin of Evanston, Wyoming; brother, Ron Kimball of Puyallup, Washington; three grandchildren and two great –grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy James Hewkin on July 9, 1985.
