Dorothy Curran Krois, age 85, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Fair View Transitional Health Center.
Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangement.
Dorothy was born November 5, 1928 in Piney, Arkansas to Virgil & Ruth Casey. She graduated from Elma High School in Elma, Washington. In 1949 in McCleary, Washington she married Claude Curran and they moved to Roseburg, Oregon. In 1959 she moved to Grants Pass where she worked at McLain’s Drug Store and National Drug. Claude preceded her in death. In 1969 she married Ken Krois and he later preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a member of the Eagles Lodge. She volunteered her time at the Rogue River Community Center Gift Shop.
Her hobbies included camping, traveling and her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Wall and husband Ted and Carol Thompson; a son, Mike Curran and wife Sandi all of Grants Pass, Oregon; two sisters, Jan Eastwood and husband Ray of Jerome, Idaho and Patti Kinney of Reston, Virginia; her companion, Ed Engle of Roseburg, Oregon; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a stepson, Doug Krois of Tigard, Oregon and a stepdaughter, Sharon Krois Reed of Campbell, California.
