Doris E. Johns

Doris E. Johns, age 87, of Grants Pass, died Monday, November 10, 2008 at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Private family interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, Oregon Affiliate, 1425 NE Irving #100, Portland OR 97232.

Doris was born December 16, 1920 in Reuben, Oregon. She grew up in Glendale, attended Glendale High School, and lived there nearly all her life. On December 21, 1938 in Vancouver, Washington she married Chauncey E. Johns who died in 2003. She was a snowbird and spent time between Glendale and Arizona/California. Four years ago she moved to Grants Pass.

She was a member of Rebekah Lodge.

Her hobbies included flower and vegetable gardening, trips to 7 Feathers, traveling by RV. Trips included the East Coast and Alaska.

Survivors include two daughters, Sally Munyon of Grants Pass and Terry Massey of Lahaina, Hawaii; a sister, Eloise Cleveland of Grants Pass; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
