Donna Rae Kasuske, 80, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Merlin Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Mike Laughman officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Donna was born September 22, 1926 in Los Angeles, California to John Syril Christensen and Lila Stiemle Christiansen. In 1944 she graduated from high school in Whittier, California. On November 18, 1968 in Los Angeles she married Forrest Kasuske who preceded her in death in 1995. In 1978 she moved from California to Grants Pass.
Donna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 72 years and a member of the Merlin Ward since its inception. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Pioneers for 70 years.
Her hobbies included fishing, hunting, ship cruises, feeding deer and wild turkeys, and reading church books.
Survivors include a son, John Shephard; two daughters, Marsha Dennis and Pam Roberts and her husband Alan all of Grants Pass; four sisters, Joan Lucas and her husband Frank, Marilee Thornock and her husband Bob, and Shauna Astle all of Utah, and Joan Folsom of Colorado; two brothers, Garth Christensen of Utah and Kirk Christensen and his wife Gilda of Arizona; and a grandson, John Hamilton and his wife Jessica of Escondido, California.
