Donna Ferol Brosius Avery, age 75, of Rogue River, died Friday, October 18, 2013, at Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford.
Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Our Lady of the River Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Donna was born October 3, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas, to Donald Brosius and Ferol Boren Brosius. She was raised in Wichita and graduated from West High School, Wichita, KS, in 1956. Donna and Thomas Eugene Avery were married on May 5, 1956, at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church in Wichita, KS.
Tom and Donna moved from Wichita to Arcadia, California in 1959. They moved to Westminster, California in 1962. And from there, they relocated to Irvine, California in 1979. Tom and Donna retired and settled in Rogue River, Oregon 1998.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Donna worked as a cashier at Ralph’s Grocery Company for 21 years. She was involved in many activities with Our Lady of the River Catholic Church. She was very talented and enjoyed sewing, painting, paper quilling, and cooking among others things.
Donna is survived by her husband Tom of Rogue River; five children, Theresa (Avery) Weber of Holland, OH, Deborah (Avery) Newell of Carlsbad, CA, (Thomas) Kent Avery of Bremerton, WA, Michelle (Avery) Tebbe of Brea, CA and David Avery of San Clemente, CA; fifteen grandchildren, David, Chris, Chad, Shane, Cortney, Kiki, Keley, Daniel, Kirsten, Zach, Shawna, Dustin, Christian, Desirea, and CJ; and seven great-grandchildren, Keagen, Aidan, Hailey, Alex, Ryan, Owen, and Anabelle.
