Donalee Mcdonald

Donalee McDonald born January 9, 1938 slipped away from her earthly home on April 19, 2016 to join her beloved husband of 61 years, Ernie McDonald, who preceded her in death by two weeks. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Gentz, five of her six children, and a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. While Donalee and Ernie had six children by birth and adoption they, created a loving home for many other loved foster children.

Donalee was an avid craftsperson who spread her gifts among family and friends. She loved beautiful things and filled her yard and home with flowers. Donalee loved to dance and sing and lived her life joyfully.

A joint celebration of Donalee and Ernie’s lives will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Hugo Community Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the church’s building fund.
