Donald P. Forbuss, age 87, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Fair View Transitional Health Center.
Private services are planned. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Don was born July 26, 1923 in Malden, Missouri. During World War II he served in the United States Army Air Corps with the 11th Tactical Rcn Squadron. He received a Distinguished Unit Badge and six Bronze Stars while serving in Europe. In 1948 he moved to Oregon and worked in logging operations in the Glendale area. On December 19, 1951 he married his wife, Madeline. In 1952 he went to work for the United States Postal Service for 32 years until retirement. For ten years he served as State Union President.
His hobbies included fishing the Rogue River and hunting.
In addition to his wife, Madeline Forbuss of Grants Pass; survivors include two sons, Ronald Paul Kurmis of Valparaiso, Indiana and David A. Forbuss of Grants Pass, Oregon; a stepdaughter, Nancy Lee Brown of Grants Pass, Oregon; a brother; two sisters; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
