Donald J. Mcswan

Donald J. McSwan “Pop”, age 98, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Oak Lane.

No services are planned. Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Don was born June 20, 1913 in Stockton, California to Hugh & Grace McSwan. He graduated from high school in Stockton and then worked with his father on the family farm. He moved to Lincoln, California where he and his father bought the Glady Ranch. After they sold the ranch in 1949 he moved to Provolt, Oregon. In the 1980s he moved to Rogue River where he lived until moving to Grants Pass four years ago.

Don enjoyed flower gardening.

Survivors include three sons, Don H. McSwan of Grants Pass, Oregon, Ted R. McSwan of Applegate, Oregon and Richard A. McSwan of Grants Pass, Oregon; a brother, Lee McSwan of Pasco, Washington; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Metha Marie McSwan in 1980.
