Donald David Edmon, age 78, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, May 15, 2014 in Grants Pass.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church with Father James Boston officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lovejoy Hospice or to the Alzheimer's Association.
Donald was born January 12, 1936 in Crosses, Arkansas and was raised in Eugene, Oregon. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Fullerton State College. In July of 1959 he married Shirley Carroll who preceded him in death. Donald worked for the Department of Rehabilitation for the State of California as a managing director for many years. In 1992 he moved from Sacramento, California to Grants Pass. In July of 2006 he married Gloria Campbell at St Luke’s Episcopal Church.
He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church since he moved to Grants Pass.
His hobbies included mountain climbing, bike riding, climbing, and traveling by motor home throughout the United States.
Survivors include his wife Gloria Edmon of Grants Pass; two daughters, Susan Campbell of Richland, Washington and Cynthia Edmon of Sacramento, California; a brother, Eugene Edmon of the Bay Area in California; two sisters, Margle Gifford of San Diego, California and Rita Rausch of San Clemente, California and a grandson, John Campbell of Richland, Washington.
Preceding him in death were three siblings.
