Dolly Marie Connolly

Dolly Marie Connolly, age 72, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

A celebration of life will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

Dolly was born July 15, 1938 in Lodi, California to Dollie & Paul Urben. She graduated from Oakland High School in Oakland, Oregon and then attended Beauty School in California. For five years she was a beautician. In September 1955 she married Donald Maddox and they later divorced. On February 27, 1971 in Las Vegas, Nevada she married Bob Connolly and they later divorced as well. Dolly moved from Sylmar, California to Grants Pass 37 years ago. For 23 years she worked at Fair View Transitional Health Center in laundry, housekeeping, and central supply supervision until her retirement in 2008.

Dolly loved being with her children and family. She enjoyed watching her grandsons play sports, and she also collected hummingbird items.

Survivors include five children, Dona Deutschman of Junction City, Oregon, Debby Alcazar of Palmdale, California; Dana Maddox of Sandpoint, Idaho, Jim Connolly and wife Vanessa of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Jason Connolly of Grants Pass, Oregon; two brothers, Paul Urben of Milwaukie, Oregon and Carl Urben of Sisters, Oregon; a sister, Peggy Williams of Coos Bay, Oregon; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
