Diane Dee Wendover, age 61, of Cave Junction, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at her home.
A celebration of life will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cave Junction. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Diane supported many organizations in her life. Donations may be received at First Community Credit Union in Grants Pass to be shared between her charities.
Diane was born June 28, 1952 in Los Angeles, California to William F. & Barbara E. Young. In 1970 she graduated from Villa Park High School in Anaheim. In 1972 in Orange, California she married Robert Wendover. Thirty-five years ago she moved from Anaheim, California to Cave Junction. From 1988 to 2013 she worked at Rough & Ready Lumber Company as Payroll/ Human Resource Manager.
Diane attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
She volunteered for the Illinois Valley Booster Club, Cave Junction Pool Committee, planned Illinois Valley High School graduation night for 10 years and was Illinois Valley 2002 Citizen of the Year.
Diane enjoyed gardening and especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Wendover of Cave Junction; two sons, Robert W. Wendover and Steven M. Wendover, both of Grants Pass; a daughter, Amy M. Larson of Grants Pass; father, William F. Young of Grants Pass; a sister, Kathy Valdizan of Southern California; two brothers, William F. Young Jr of Lake Forest, California and Mark Young of Temecula, California; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
