Delbert James “ Jim” Weinshrott, age 59, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Three Rivers Medical Center.
A viewing will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Jim was born July 24, 1954 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He grew up on a farm in Oakfield, Wisconsin and graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond-du-lac, Wisconsin. In 1972 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served for three years until his honorable discharge in 1975. He attended Berean Bible College in San Diego, California for a year where he met Vila Zdunski and they were married on October 23, 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1982 they moved from Los Angeles to Grants Pass. He attended Rogue Community College and was trained in electronics. Following his training, he opened Riverside Software and Computers which he owned and operated for five years.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, horticulture, and electronics.
Survivors include his wife, Vila Weinshrott; two sons, Joseph Weinshrott and James Weinshrott all of Grants Pass, Oregon; two granddaughters; and seven siblings, Robert Bernhardt of Oregon, Chris Weinshrott of Texas, Eleanora Vande Slunt of Wisconsin, Carla Schroeder of Texas, and Carl Weinshrott, Anne Weinshrott, and Michael Weinshrott all of Wisconsin.
