A celebration of life to say goodbye to Kenneth & Deborah Ward was held October 15, 2022 at Lake Selmac in Selma, Oregon.
Deborah Lynn Dominguez Ward “Debbie” was born September 17, 1962 in Walnut Creek, California to Fredrick Dominguez and Linda Chapman. After a divorce, when Debbie was eight years old, Linda as a single mother, raised Debbie and her sister Teri in California. Debbie graduated with straight A’s from Pittsburg Senior High School in Pittsburg, California. After high school, Debbie worked as a quality assurance supervisor for Concord Naval Weapons Station for three years. While there, Debbie reconnected with Kenneth Ward who became her life partner. They moved to Selma, Oregon 40 years ago. It came as a big surprise when Debbie & Kenny were married on April Fool’s Day about 15 years ago.
Debbie enjoyed needlework, couponing, reading, and spending time with family, friends and her beloved dog Yogi.
In March of 2022 after her husband’s tragic death, Debbie’s health declined and she died September 14, 2022.
Debbie is survived by her mother Linda Chapman of Cave Junction; sister Teri (Shawn) Hunter of Redding, California; nieces Teralyn and Jennifer; nephews Duncan and Ray; Aunt Peggy and Aunt Sharon; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; nephew Mikel; and her Chapman grandparents.
