Debbie Todd, age 50, of Sunny Valley, died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at her home.
Debbie was born June 16, 1961 in Edgewater, Colorado to Ron & Jody Dorrance. She was raised in Byers, Colorado and graduated from high school in Bennett, Colorado. In 2006 she moved from Everett, Washington to Southern Oregon. At age 35 she was first diagnosed with cancer, had been in remission for eight years before she was terminally diagnosed three years ago.
Debbie was a voracious reader and especially enjoyed Stephen King novels. She loved her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her fianc, Mark Hood of Sunny Valley, Oregon; three children, Katy Todd of Littleton, Colorado, Vance Taylor of Everett, Washington, and Jessica Cowlishaw of Bennett, Colorado; her mother, Jody McCarthey of Custer, South Dakota; a sister, Tami Dorrance-Warren of Trout Lake, Washington; three brothers, Jim Dorrance of Custer, South Dakota, Will Mitchell of Deadwood, South Dakota, and Troy Dorrance of Denver, Colorado; and two grandchildren, Sami and Hannah.
No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
