David P. Poague, age 56, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at his home.
A viewing will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2011 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2011 at First Christian Church with Pastor Wes Winn officiating. Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

David was born December 10, 1954 in Cottage Grove, Oregon to Willard Lee Poague & Darlene Yvonne (Michael) Poague. When he was in the 1st grade he moved with his family to Grants Pass and in 1973 he graduated from Grants Pass High School and later graduated from San Francisco School of Preaching in San Francisco. On June 1, 1974 in Concord, California he married Donna Pugh. He served as a Church of Christ minister in the Bay Area of California and then Redding, California for 30+ years. He also was owner and broker of several real estate offices while living in Redding. In 2009 he moved to Round Mountain, Nevada to be closer to his sister and in January 2011 he returned to Grants Pass.
David attended the Church of Christ and most recently attended First Christian Church with his mother.
Over the years he volunteered in his community food bank and missions donating his time, talents, and resources.
David enjoyed attending auctions, traveling, and houseboating. He especially loved his family and recently baptized three of his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Donna of Portland, Oregon; a son, David Poague Jr of Ashland, Oregon, three daughters, Carrie Smith of Hillsboro, Oregon, Holly Howell of Beaverton, Oregon, and Tiffanie Briley of Hillsboro, Oregon; his mother, Darlene Poague of Grants Pass, Oregon; three sisters, Ramona Brown of Round Mountain, Nevada, Susan McLean of Reno, Nevada, and Judy Campbell of Grants Pass, Oregon; and ten grandchildren.
