David Perry Moser, age 75, of Merlin, died April 7, 2017 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.
David was born June 25, 1941 in Salinas, California. He grew up in Salinas and graduated from Salinas High School class of 1959. He attended night courses at Hartnell College and from 1958 to 1961 he worked at the Monterey County Surveyor’s Office. On January 10, 1961 in Salinas he married Sandra Kay Crippen. From 1961 to 1970 David worked for First American Title and from 1970 to 1974 Monterey County Title. In 1975, he moved from Salinas to Glendale, Oregon and was employed with Mountain Title in Grants Pass. From 1980 to 1986 he lived in Seaside, Oregon and was self-employed in oil and gas title work. In 1986, he returned to Glendale and in 1992 moved to Merlin. During those years he worked for First American Title (formerly Josephine County Title).
David was known affectionately by his co-workers as 'Moe', and he earned a long-term reputation for his sense of humor, his fairness, his generosity, and his integrity.
He loved the outdoors, nature and bird-watching, photography, camping, fishing, and hunting, and went on a long-anticipated trip to Australia with his wife in 2006. Every summer, he went to his favorite fishing camp in the Steens Mountain range in Eastern Oregon.
His family and friends remember his loud exuberance for his favorite sports teams, the San Francisco 49ers, the Golden State Warriors, and the San Francisco Giants.
David cherished his family, and his friends, and he will be missed more than words can express by them all.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice E. Moser (maiden name Silliman); his father, Walter A. Moser; and his step-mother, Alice Moser.
David is survived by his wife, Sandra K. Moser; his son, David P. Moser II; his daughter, Terry L. Moser; his son, Jonathan S. Moser (and Christine, his wife); his grandson, James P.
