David Michael Coon, age 75, of Glendale, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at his home.
A celebration of life will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Olivet Community Church in Glendale with Pastor Buck Tohill officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

David was born July 9, 1938 in Syracuse, New York to Howard & Vivian Coon. He graduated from Cicero High School in Syracuse and joined the United States Navy. He had a landscaping business in Victory, New York. After moving to California he owned and operated, Custom Automotive for many years. He then worked for the city of Modesto and later retired as a heavy equipment operator. In 2005 he moved from California to Glendale.
David attended Olivet Community Church in Glendale and Big Valley Grace Church while living in Modesto.
David as an avid street rodder and built a ’32 Ford roadster. He belonged to several street rod clubs in both New York and California.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne M. Coon of Glendale, Oregon; four sons, Alan Coon of Baldwinsville, New York, Douglas Coon of LaFayette, New York, Stephen Aldrich of Port Byron, New York and David Aldrich stationed in Greece; a daughter, Debra Mobus of Modesto, California; a brother, Terry Coon of Tallahassee, Florida; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
