David Andrew Dobner

David Andrew Dobner, age 60, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at his home.

A celebration of life (open house) will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Dobner family home.

David was born July 2, 1953 in Eugene, Oregon to Lorenz & Catherine Dobner. In 1972 he graduated from North Eugene High School where he was a standout athlete lettering all four years in baseball and basketball. He then attended Southern Oregon College, was a catcher for the Raiders baseball team, and graduated with a Bachelors degree in marketing/management in 1976. In 1986 he moved from Eugene to Grants Pass. He worked as the Southern Oregon sales representative for Dutch Girl Ice Cream until 1998. He then worked various sales jobs and most recently worked for Auto Wheel since 2003.

David attended Edgewater Christian Fellowship for several years.

His hobbies including outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, hiking, rafting, and backpacking; golf, bowling, baseball, and basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Dobner; a daughter, Piper Dobner both of Grants Pass, Oregon; two sons, Andrew Dobner of Grants Pass, Oregon and Kelsey Dobner of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, Daniel Dobner of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Thomas Dobner of Honolulu, Hawaii.
