David Allen Potticary

David Allen Potticary, age 57, of Cave Junction, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.

No services are planned. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

David was born June 14, 1956 in Portland, Oregon. He graduated high school and later attended trade school for auto mechanics. While attending school he drove school bus for Hillsboro School District. In 1987 he moved from Portland to the Illinois Valley. He worked for Rockydale Automotive for 23 years. David went into business for himself doing stump grinding. The Valley will miss him and his laugh.

He was a member of Oath Keepers.

David’s hobbies included water skiing from the age of five, computers, music, auto shows, working on automobiles, shooting pool, participating in pool tournaments and boating. He especially enjoyed spending time with friends.

Survivors include his father, Dean Potticary of Cave Junction; his step-mother, Claudia Potticary of Cave Junction; his mother, Janet Kent of Vancouver, Washington; a brother, Dale Kent of Bend, Oregon; his children, Mirinda of Vancouver, Washington and Dominic of Gaston, Oregon; and four grandchildren, Paige, Jace, Tyrus and Lincoln.
