Darrell Anderson, age 78, of Grants Pass, was beckoned to heaven Friday, August 16, 2013.
Private services have been held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Darrell was born on February 1, 1935 in Chico, California. In 1960 he married his childhood sweetheart, Geraldine Volkers and together they had four children. In 1960 he graduated from Western Baptist Bible College, now called Corbin. The family moved to Grants Pass in 1964 where he worked for Abbott Pest Control, he later started his own pest control business. Darrell also worked for Spalding and Fourply lumber companies. In May of 1979 he and Gerrie bought Piper Drive Inn and operated it for nearly thirteen years.
He was a charter member of Open Door Baptist Church, now called Calvary Crossroads.
His hobbies were his portable sawmill, doing tractor work on their property, hunting and spending time with his family.
His is survived by his wife, Gerrie of 61 years; four children, Lanette, Patricia, Darline and Lowell; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a granddaughter, Kathy Simpson.
Darrell was rock solid in his faith and in his Love of the Lord. He was a great roll model for his family. He is greatly missed.
