Danny Paul Mclaughlin

Danny Paul McLaughlin, age 68, of Grants Pass, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Rogue Valley Medical Center after a sudden illness.

Dan was born August 6, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to S.C. & Marguerite McLaughlin. The family moved to Santa Ana, California in 1944 where he graduated from Santa Ana High School. On April 16, 1965 he was joined in marriage to Dori Booth and on January 7, 1969 their son David was born. Dan worked at Delco Batteries in Anaheim, California until 1979 when they moved to the Applegate Valley in Oregon and bought the Provolt Store which they owned and operated until 1995.

Dan had a wide variety of interests including music, reading, collecting coins, history, cars and watching really bad movies.

Dan will be sadly missed by his mother, Marguerite of Grants Pass, Oregon; a son, David of Salem, Oregon; a sister, Barbara of Sedona, Arizona; a brother, Bob of Indianapolis, Indiana; his former wife, Dori of Salem, Oregon; and many nieces and nephews.

The family offers their condolences to the many friends of Dan who also survive.

He is preceded in death by his father, S.C. McLaughlin.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2011 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
