Daniel “DuWayne” Marlow, age 75, of Grants Pass, died December 29, 2021 at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.
DuWayne was born November 11, 1946 in Pendleton, Oregon to Daniel Marlow & Rita (Enyart). He served in the United State Army in the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Ma & Pa’s Café in Tacoma, Washington. Then owned and operated Ma & Pa’s Café 2 at Ocean Shores, Washington. He moved from Tacoma to Grants Pass 25 years ago. On August 10, 2013 at Parkway Christian Center with Pastor Ron Marsh officiating, he married Ruth Ann Denson.
His hobbies included trips to Seven Feathers, woodworking, and swap meets. As a young man he enjoyed driving stock cars at the Lebanon Speedway in Lebanon, Oregon.
Survivors include his wife Ruth A. Denson of Grants Pass; children ChaLinda Lawson of Medford, Sherry-Kay Browne of Ridgecrest, California, Michael Marlow of Bremerton, Washington and Angie Kelley of Port Orchard, Washington; two sisters Pamala Ferguson of La Pine, Oregon and Danita Crook of Albany, Oregon; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death four years ago by his faithful dog, Peanut.
Military funeral honors were held 10:00 a.m., January 4, 2022 at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
