Dale Lloyd Flener, age 90, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Services will possibly be held at a later date. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Dale was born June 16, 1923 in Lutie, Oklahoma to Louis & Julia Flener. After moving to California he met and married Norma Ricman who preceded him in death in 1989. During World War II he served in the United States Army in the European and Asian theatres. In 1946 he moved to Grants Pass and in 1954 joined the Oregon State Police serving in Roseburg, Reedsport, Pendleton, Ontario and Grants Pass. On January 1, 1980 he retired as commanding officer of the Grants Pass office. In 1995 he married LaRene Johnson of Jacksonville, Oregon.
Dale enjoyed fishing, traveling, and gambling.
He is survived by his wife, LaRene Flener of Grants Pass, Oregon; a daughter, Karen Macias of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters, Christine Smith and Evelyn Balogh both of Woodburn, Oregon; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Loreen York and three brothers, James Flener, Everett Flener and Norman Flener.
