Born in Phoenix, AZ, on November 9, 1953, Cynthia was the third child of Charles and Ramona (Dean) Krumpe. She attended Phoenix schools, graduating from North High School in 1971. Softball was a favorite activity during these years. Cynthia met her future husband, Wesley Wright, and together they moved to Cave Junction in 1973. They married in 1974 and had four children, Angela, Courtney, Lindsey, and Austin.
After their marriage ended, Cynthia raised the family in Cave Junction while working at Fire Mountain Gems. She was an employee from the early days of the company, retiring in January of this year after 31 years of service. Cynthia’s home was a hub of activity for her children and their friends. All were welcome in the safe and nurturing environment she created. Her love and acceptance made her a favorite of her children’s friends. She loved and supported her family fiercely, raising her children to believe that they could achieve whatever they wanted. She supported them through thick and thin and they always knew she had their backs.
Gardening, jewelry making, music, and spending time with her grandchildren were some favorite activities of Cynthia’s. She also enjoyed spending time with her circle of friends. Cynthia leaves behind her four children Angela Wright, Courtney Wright, Lindsey Wright (Andrea Dello Russo), and Austin Wright (Angela Kehoe); three grandchildren Ramona (Casper) Wright-Smith, Wesley Goddard, and Lukas Wright; brother John Krumpe and sister Charlene Krumpe. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Ramona Krumpe, sister Terry Davis, and her children’s father Wesley Wright.
