Claudina Fay Hamilton, age 79, of Grants Pass, died January 30, 2025 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.
Claudina was born June 24, 1945 in Grants Pass to Ira Cecil Fry and Jessie Viola Isaacs. She loved crafting and driving her 1977 ‘Smokey and the Bandit’ Trans Am – fast.
She was a mom, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Philip Sandquist and Buster Knight, sister Dolores Martin and grandson Christopher R. Goree.
She is survived by her children Tim Goree (Ginger) of Tonasket, Washington, Debbie Wood (Doug) of Grants Pass, and James Goree of Grants Pass; 11 grandchildren; 14 ½ great- grandchildren (1 on the way); brother Butch Knight; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Nothing can ever be said to properly sum up her life. She was so much more to everyone she knew than she will ever be credited for. She was our mother, not a perfect mother in everyone’s eyes but she was perfect for us and she was what we needed at the time. I will never regret anything that she did because it made us who we are; decent, respectable people who care about others and our own. The only regret I have is not being around her more. I love her and will always love and respect her as long as I live. We have all become what we are now because of you and thank you for that.
