Claudia Lee Bowers

Claudia Lee Bowers, age 72, of Merlin, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at her home.

She was born August 30, 1945 at home in Grants Pass, the youngest of five children. As a young girl, she enjoyed tap dancing and danced for the veterans in White City, Oregon. She lived in Grants Pass all her life and attended Washington Grade School, North Junior High School, and Grants Pass High School. Claudia worked for Oregon Technical Products for many years and was a supervisor when she retired. On October 4, 1992 in the Rogue Valley she married Tyrone Bowers.

Claudia enjoyed flower gardening and loved her cats, dancing, and country music.

Survivors include her husband, Tyrone Bowers of Merlin; a son, Michael Murphy of Merlin; stepson, Rick and stepdaughter, Debbie; and a grandson, John all of the Rogue Valley; a brother, Richard “Dickie” Howell and a sister, Karen Word both of Grants Pass.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2017 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow at Shenanigans Lounge, 515 Rogue River Highway, Grants Pass.
