Clara Mae Sims

Clara Mae Sims, age 65, of Merlin, passed on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 surrounded by family and friends at her home.

Family services will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Clara was born February 28, 1948 in Cedartown, Georgia. She moved from Red Flats in Wonder, Oregon to Merlin 15 years ago.

She was an amazing woman and mother who deeply touched everyone who was lucky enough to know her. Throughout her life, Clara graciously opened her heart and home to many. Family was very important to her.

Clara enjoyed playing cards, trips to Seven Feathers, and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include her former husband, Roger Sims of Merlin, Oregon; two sons, Scott Chitwood of Merlin, Oregon and Jeffery Chitwood of Grants Pass, Oregon; a daughter, Wendy Sims of Merlin, Oregon; 20+ grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Roberts and Alma Lee Redden; and a brother, Billy Redden.
