Gladys Amos, age 81, of Grants Pass, Oregon died Thursday, October 11, 2007 in Grants Pass.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens in Grants Pass.

Gladys was born March 14, 1926 in Dover, Arkansas to Sheridan & Fannie (Stephenson) Freeman. She was raised in Arkansas until age 12 when her family moved to Idaho where she graduated from Plymouth High School in New Plymouth, Idaho in 1944. After graduating, she married Carl Amos. In 1953, along with her husband and three children, she moved to Anderson, California. For 33 years, she owned and operated a real estate investment business. In 2004 she moved from Anderson to Grants Pass.
She especially enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening and investing.
Survivors include three daughters, Lynda Martin of Grants Pass, Oregon, Sherry Ephland of Crescent City, California and Lois Amos of Redding, California; three grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Amos in 1995.
