Cynthia Irene “Cindy” Fitting, age 71, of Grants Pass, died November 28, 2018 at her home.
Cindy was born November 17, 1947 in Oakland, California to Richard & Elynore McKinney. As a child she moved to Grants Pass where she grew up and attended Hugo School, Fleming Junior High and Grants Pass High School. She then worked as a waitress before marrying her husband, Richard Fitting. She worked for Gates Home Furnishings as a bookkeeper. She then briefly had her own bookkeeping business. She was also a stay-at-home mom and took care of her kids and husband.
Cindy was an avid bowler with her husband at both Caveman and Showtime Bowls. She was a part of the Classics League and was the first woman to bowl with the men-only league.
Her hobbies included bowling, playing Bingo at Seven Feathers, and crocheting beanies, scarves and baby blankets.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Fitting of Grants Pass, David Fitting of Boise, Idaho and Mathew Fitting of Grants Pass; three sisters, Claudia, Coraline, and Cece; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
