Charles Ray “Chuck” “Chucky” Bowyer, age 59, of Wimer, died May 13, 2022 at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.
Chuck was born December 23, 1962 in Kewanee, Illinois. He lived in Coos Bay, Merlin, and Grants Pass before moving to Wimer.
He worked at ESAM and Bentwood Furniture until he was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma in 2010. He fought courageously, with a sense of humor and love for others for the past 12 years. He was always upbeat and positive. On October 6, 2021, he had stem cell replacement therapy and in January 2022 was cancer free. COVID wasn’t as nice. He fought till the end when the Good Lord called him home.
He was loving, caring and kind and always willing to help anyone in need.
His hobbies included camping, fishing, hunting, and hiking; he loved the outdoors.
Survivors include two daughters Misty Lovins of Rogue River, Oregon and Crystal Scott of Modesto, California; five grandchildren Austin Scott and Jordan Scott both of Texas, Douglas Heard-Scott of Murphy, Oregon; and Aiden Scott and Timothy Culver both of Grants Pass; sisters Diane, Emily, Loretta, Judy and Mary; and brother Roy.
He was preceded in death by his parents Orris Bowyer Sr and Alma Bowyer; brothers Vern, Orris “Buck”, Robert “Bob”, Dale, Bernard “Bernie”, and sisters Sharon and Alice.
