Christopher James Murphy

Christopher James Murphy, age 63, of Grants Pass, passed away, Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Vancouver Campus of the Portland Medical Center, in Vancouver, WA.

Services are pending. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Christopher was born August 18, 1950 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Arleigh and Margaret “Peggy” Murphy. He grew up in Glendale and graduated from Glendale High School. After graduating he served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He worked in the woods mostly in the Glendale area and retired while working for RobCo, Inc. in Grants Pass. He married Susan Waggoner in Glendale, OR.

Christopher enjoyed fishing, hunting and his family.

He is survived by his wife Susan, children Jennifer Philbrook and her husband Jonathan of Olympia, Wa, and Shannon Waggoner and Eric Waggoner of Grants Pass. Step-mother Betty Murphy of Glendale.

Sister, Arlene Henry and her husband Ed of Lakeview and brothers Mike Murphy, Azalea, Jeff Murphy and his wife Linda of Sweet Home and Rick Brady of Glendale. Uncle Jim Berry and his wife Brenda of Bend; grandchildren, Julianna, Jackson, Emma, Courtney, Kenneday, and Jordyn. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
