Christiane “Chris” Lockridge

August 11, 1940 to June 11, 2022

Chris Lockridge of Rogue River died June 11, 2022.

Chris was born during the German occupation of Luxembourg, in Ettelbruck of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Henri and Marie-Marguerite Bodeving.

Chris married Donald Lockridge, an American serviceman on March 30, 1964. He was the love of her life. They immigrated to Las Vegas, New Mexico in 1969 where she graduated summa cum laude from New Mexico Highlands University in Education. In 1975 she became a naturalized American citizen.

She and Don then moved to Rogue River, where she taught Math and Art at the middle school until her retirement. After retirement, they traveled extensively throughout the US, camping from coast to coast.

She loved to travel, drink good wine, cook good food, and laugh.

There will be no services. Donations can be made to the Josephine County Humane Society.
