Cheryl Marie Cline

We regretfully announce the passing of Cheryl Marie (Scantlin) Cline of Merlin Oregon on March 4, 2021. Cheryl was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.

Cheryl was born on February 24, 1955, to Herb and Hildegard (Claassen) Scantlin and raised in Paso Robles California along with her 9 siblings, Dean Scantlin of Tucson, AZ, Helen Atkinson of Santa Maria, CA, Everett Scantlin of Paso Robles, CA, Donnie Scantlin of Paso Robles, CA, Bonnie Costa of Nampa, ID, Terry Scantlin of Paso Robles, CA, Marvin Scantlin of Safford, AZ, Peggy Hall of Manteca, CA, and Patty Greenough of Hay Springs, NE.

Cheryl, was a loving wife to Bryan Cline of Merlin, OR; Mother to Brandee Cline of Merlin, OR, and Crystal Scantlin; Grandmother to Emilly Ortiz and Issac Ortiz, and “Hunny” to great grandchildren Daelen Ortiz and Alice Ortiz-Mast, all from Chandler, AZ. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents.

In her spare time she enjoyed watching football and cheering on her favorite team, the San Francisco 49’ers. She also enjoyed gold panning, traveling and spending time with her family.

A small service will be held at the Willow Creek Mennonite Cemetery on April 14th, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
