Charlotte L. Cook

Charlotte L. Cook (Chardy), age 70, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at her home.

Charlotte was born September 5, 1944 in Medford, Oregon to David & Cleo Roberts. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sociology from Chico State University. For three years she worked as a deputy probation officer with Siskiyou County. In 1972 she married Les Cook. They returned to the Medford area where they lived until 1976 when they moved to Grants Pass and purchased the Roto-Rooter franchise, managing the business together until retiring in 2006.

Charlotte was a member of the Nature Conservancy and World Wildlife Fund. In the early 1990s she volunteered with Planned Parenthood.

Her hobbies included reading, gardening, sewing, walking, and bird watching.

Preceding her in death was an older brother Calvin Roberts who died at infancy.

Charlotte is survived by her husband of 43 years, Les; daughter Sarah; sister Dena Henagin; and brother Dennis Roberts.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2015 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors with Chaplain Patt Herdklotz officiating.
