Charles Nelson Miller, 94, passed on June 12, 2017 in his home near Cave Junction, Oregon.
Charles was born April 23, 1923 in Oran, Iowa. In 1946, he married Dorothy Marie Clubb. Chuck served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He later worked as a Civil Servant for the U.S. Air Force as an Airplane Electrical Mechanic, retiring from Hill Air Force Base in Utah after 30 years.
He enjoyed fishing, reading Westerns and spending time with his family. In younger years, he enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, water skiing, playing pool, shuffleboard and baseball. He enjoyed playing ball with the Relics in Grants Pass.
Chuck was a hardworking, honest man with a great sense of humor. He is survived by three sons, Robert Miller of Riverside, California, Rocky Miller of Clinton, Utah and Dennis Parker Sr. of Cave Junction, Oregon; 15 Grandchildren; and many Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Miller; his eldest son, Jim Miller of Texas; his granddaughter, Tami Rosson; his parents, Bert and Bertha of Iowa, two brothers, Edward “Jack” Miller and Robert Miller; his sister, Norma Lucas; and his fianc, Dona Mae Venz of Iowa.
He will be greatly missed.
A graveside service with military funeral honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Laurel Cemetery in Cave Junction.
