Charles Irving Beaver (Hupa) passed away on January 13, 2015, due to Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Double Pneumonia and other medical causes at the Rogue Valley Medical Center Intensive Care Unit in Medford, Oregon. Aged 60, Chuck, or Charlie as he had been called, had recently moved back to Hoopa, California, where he had been born and raised. He had spent most of his adult life living throughout Northern California and Oregon, working in the Lumber Industry as a Timerbfaller, Chokersetter, as well as a Firefighter, Handyman, Auto Mechanic, and in Landscape and Home Repair.
Charles was the son of the late Barbara Jean Wolfinbarger and William Jay Beaver, Jr. One of eight siblings, he is survived by Barbara Jean “Jeannie” McNeil, Joann Friel, Linda Purifoy, Shawn Downing, Frederick Miller, and Paul Miller. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Beaver Alder, son-in-law Evan Alder, granddaughter Anabella Alder, his Aunt Janice Gay (Wolfinbarger), his girlfriend Jeanni Wake Marshall, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Charles was a devout Christian, and devoted his energy and activities to his Faith. He was also a renowned chess player, talented artist, car enthusiast, and loved his family. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Beaver Cemetery on Bald Hill, with a Celebration of Life Remembrance to immediately follow at the Hoopa Community Center on Loop Road, in Hoopa, California.
