Carolene Jane Brewer

Carolene Jane Brewer, age 84, of Grants Pass, died April 19, 2022 at Regency Care Rogue Valley.

Carolene was born July 24, 1937 in Red Rock, Oklahoma to Everet & Mildred Travis. She moved with her family from Ponca City, Oklahoma to Grants Pass where she grew up. On August 10, 1960 in Stevenson, Washington she married George K. Brewer. She was a homemaker.

Carolene was a member of the Iron Horse Riders and the Assembly of God Church. She volunteered with the Lions Club food/gift basket program.

Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, landscaping, and crafts.

Survivors include son Kenneth Brewer of Loxahatchee, Florida and daughter Michele Shafer of Grants Pass; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband George K. Brewer in 2006; a son Darrell S. Brewer in 2002; and brother Marvie Travis.

A viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., May 18, 2022 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., May 19, 2022 at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
