Carole L Riihimaki - Adams, age 80, a resident of Grants Pass passed away at her home on the 24th of February, 2015.
A service will be held at the Grants Pass Masonic Lodge, 320 NW “E” Street on April 10th, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Grants Pass.
Carole was born in the state of Iowa on the 12th day of May 1934 and at the age of two her family moved to Oregon.
Carole worked for many years in banking and after her retirement she moved to Applegate and worked for Easy Valley Lumber until her retirement
Carole had many hobbies including baking, painting and making jewelry. She would spend many hours doing these. She loved her pets most of all and had a great concern how the pets were abused in our great country, and the lack of enforcement of the laws that protect them.
She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Zuleima #13 and Ladies of the Orienta Shrine Bahari Court #104, both of Medford.
Carole had a very happy and fulfilling life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jackie Adams, of Grants Pass; her children, Roy Riihimaki and his wife, Laura, of Grants Pass and Linda Freeman and her husband, Mark, of Fernly, Nev.; grandchildren, David Riihimaki, of Washington; Paul Nice, of Fernly, Nev.; and Jody Riihimaki, of Alaska; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in passing by her late husband, Oscar “Wally” Riihimaki; three sisters and one brother.
