Carol Jeanne Dowd

Beloved Carol Jeanne Dowd died August 7, 2013 in Grants Pass, Oregon at the age of 78. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, but spent her life raising her family in Sonoma, California.

Carol is survived and loved by Robert Dowd with whom she was married to for 57 years. They completely adored each other while raising their 3 sons, Mike, Jim and Tom, and 6 grandchildren. Her heart was always with her family while watching and guiding first her sons into successful lives, and then being extremely close to her grandchildren: Nathan 22, Matt 20, Sam 18, Claire 17, Patrick 15 and Trevor 14. She was always surrounded by family and many close friends. Her love was unconditional.

No words can express Carol’s kindness, compassion and giving spirit. Everyone who met her was enveloped in her warmth and powerful affection.
