Carol J. West

Carol J. West, age 74, of Rogue River, died Wednesday January 14, 2015 at her home.

Carol was born June 28, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio to George & Beatrice Royer. She attended school in Solano Beach, California. In 1959 she married Richard French who was killed in an automobile accident in 1960. Carol never remarried until 2005 when she married Stephen B. West. She lived in Merlin for 20 years until 2005 when she moved to Rogue River. She had a productive working career as an electronics technician until her retirement in 2007. She also moonlighted as a carpenter and did electrical and plumbing for friends and family.

Carol was an active member of Rogue Valley Community Church participating in many activities. She also volunteered with Child Evangelism Fellowship and helped teach 200 children every Wednesday.

Carol lived her life for the Lord with all her heart. She loved horses especially Arabian and Quarter horses and all animals. She showed a border collie at many dog shows in California. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her husband, Stephen West; a son, Ken West and wife Marlene; and two grandchildren, Josiah West and Hannah West all of Rogue River, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, her twin, Kenny in 1998 and Donald in 2006.

A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Rogue Valley Community Church. Private interment will be at Woodville Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
