Carmen R. Tucker, age 89, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Haven House.
Family services were held. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Carmen was born December 2, 1923 in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. The daughter of Carmen Hodi Valles & Luis de la Torriente she was the youngest of nine children with seven brothers and one sister. In 1934 she moved to the United States and became a naturalized United States citizen in 1952. On February 16, 1946 in Los Angeles, California she married Frank Tucker. Carmen was a stay at home mom who went above and beyond the title. In 1983 she moved from Long Beach, California to Cave Junction.
She enjoyed cooking and always wanted to feed anyone who stepped through the door. Thru the years her favorite pastimes included dancing, sewing, gardening, card games, and crossword puzzles. She had an appreciation of animals, birds, and all of Nature. She enjoyed making people laugh which included making funny faces for grandchildren and family.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Fasulo of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sandy Wardell of Mount Vernon, Washington; a son, Danny Tucker of Cave Junction, Oregon; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Frank Tucker.
